Vuorenpeikko
All Kraatteri Resort apartments are located at Nykälänniemi on the shores of Lappajärvi, and each has been named after a place or story connected to the Kraatterijärvi Geopark area.
The atmosphere in Vuorenpeikko is earthy and full of character. This two-person apartment offers a peaceful place to rest and experience the crater landscape at your own pace — without rush or pressure to keep busy.
In the Spirit of Tapolanvuori
The chalet's name springs from Ateljee Autio, located on Tapolanvuori hill in Lappajärvi, whose owner even refers to himself as a mountain troll. Ateljee Tapio Autio is a remarkable cultural destination where the artist has spent three decades creating stone paintings, concrete sculptures, and stone buildings that radiate mysticism and spirituality. Visitors can explore a stone painting church, a sheep altar, an angel room, the Mountain Troll's Castle, and a Kalevala-inspired rock painting cave. This is a place that leaves no one unmoved.
At the Intersection of Art and Nature
This distinctive cultural site and its powerful expression have made the Tapolanvuori atelier a place that provokes thought and is impossible to forget. It demonstrates how the nature and landscape of the crater region can inspire bold and truly unique creativity. Vuorenpeikko adds its own distinct tone to this whole.
An accommodation where the stories of the surroundings and nature flow naturally as part of your holiday, without haste.
Part of Kraatteri Resort's Story-Driven Experience
